Singapore Math Primary 6 now opened (updated)
Primary Math 6 is billed as the toughest math every Singaporean child would have encountered. It prepares them for their PSLE (Primary School Leaving Examination), or in our lingo, it would be called our Grade School Math Achievement/Final Exam. This PSLE would determine their level placements as they enter Secondary School.
Amongst the 6 levels of Singapore Math, this is definitely my favorite. Challenging word problems abound. Completing this course brings unexplainable confidence in math to kids. It is the "Mt. Everest" every grade school math enthusiast dream of conquering.
(To give you an update, I've received numerous inquiries, short of announcing a schedule for this class. It's highly probable that it would be scheduled in April afternoon sessions. What remains now is the determination of whether it's an M-W-F or a T-TH-Sat slot.)
Updated: March 8, 2008 ---
The class has finally been opened and would start taking in students anytime now. The time slot is 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm MWF from April 2 to 28.
